Previous BBC Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Inquiry Following Allegations of Partiality in Leaked Document
We begin with inquiries from Conservative MP the committee chair, that chairs the group.
She commences by providing details to the disclosed memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.
"It is not my wish for the BBC tilting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it straight, fair and fair," he says.
In response to a query whether he considers the BBC is structurally prejudiced, he responds: "No, I do not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is world class - both factual and non-factual content."
But he adds: "There is significant effort that must be undertaken at the BBC."
The second former external BBC adviser interviewed by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the BBC extremely earnestly and that it maintains a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" on evolving and intricate issues.
"Did the BBC willing to conduct a proper dialogue and exchange and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "As I see it, yes they were."
