The comedian

Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
